As someone with family near New Orleans, and travel there frequently, I have not found any true authentic creole food outside of there. The Southern Bayou Grill definitely hits that mark though. In all honesty it’s better than many (most?) places in New Orleans. The sitting area has a great vibe, everyone is very friendly, and the food is amazing. The poboy bread is true French poboy bread, the jambalaya is great, and the bread pudding is deadly (you will finish it in one sitting after starting, and I don’t even like white chocolate).
